The Dixie and the Fire Truck

Sean's dad lives in the Tahoe Keys and he gave us some tickets to go out on the M.S. Dixie. It's a big paddle boat that does a cruise around the lake. The kids thought it was pretty cool and Sean and I love to be out on the lake. It's such a beautiful place!

Thrace is a firefighter and he invited us to take a tour of his fire station and a real fire truck. Aiden thought that this was one of the greatest things ever. He got to sit in the fire truck and he got to look around an ambulance. He got to see all the hoses and other equipment and then came the best part.........................uncle Thrace came out with a fire hat for him to keep!!! Ashlyn was being shy and didn't want to participate at all but I finally got her to get in the ambulance (by way of bribe)

Sad Sad news

So the first thing we did once we got back to the States was go to to Marine World (actually it's called Discovery Kingdom now) The kids absolutely loved it. We saw the Shuka Show (killer whale) and the Sea Lion show and the Dolphin show. The kids got to pet sting rays and star fish and we got to see all sorts of other animals. It was a blast............the only sad part was we left about 3 hours after we flew into California and we were so exhausted but we had to stay up to beat the jet lag. Anyway we forgot the camera so I have no picture of this which breaks my heart.

Also we had some pictures from Hawaii (from our three day layover there, trying to get to California) and some Easter pictures on our good camera but when we were trying to take a good whole family picture, they accidentally got erased so I can't share those ones either. I do have a lot more from our trip though so it's okay!!

Disneyland!!!

So after our Mexico trip, we took a family trip to Disneyland. It was awesome and we had a great time. Aiden is so brave, he rode the Tower of Terror, Space Mountain and Splash Mountain and he loved them...................well Space Mountain scared him a bit because it is so dark in there. Ashlyn wasn't quite tall enough to ride the big big rides but she had a great time on all of the other ones!!!

I just love this one of Ash, I want to blow it up and frame it. It's clear she has the same love for Disney that I do!!!!

Our Mexico trip

Oh my gosh, we had so much fun! We left on Easter Sunday and that was probably the hardest day of my life. I DID NOT want to leave the kids for 5 days. Sean's Dad picked us up at my sister's and we headed to the airport in Reno. Once we got there we met up with about 10-12 people from Sean's childhood and let me just tell you they are a crazy fun bunch. We had a layover in LA where Sean's older (and louder) brother joined the flight (I really feel bad for the other people on our flight)

I just this one of Sean's dad is hilarious. These people were a lot of fun!!

This is when we decided to go to bed AFTER the wedding ha ha

So even though I missed my kids SOOOOO much, it was so great to have so much time to spend with Sean. It really was like the honeymoon we never had.
