Another craft........

So we decided to try out another craft. We started with a bag of Fruit Loops and 6 cups. The kids sorted the loops by color. They LOVED this part and asked to do several more piles of loops before we moved on. (Please excuse Ashlyn's hair, we did this right after breakfast)

Next the kids poured each color into a baggie.

Then crushed them up until they resembled sand

Finally I let them pick the colors and they dumped them in baby food jars. I thought it was interesting that they each made a pattern.

This was another really easy craft and the kids had a blast. I think they turned out pretty cute!!!

Ashlyn LOVES to sing!!!

Ashlyn singing Get Down On It, the first song she decided to love and learn ;)

Here she is singing Who Let the Dogs Out!!

And her VERY favorite right now--Love Story

Heart craft

The kids have been asking to do an art project, so we decided to do an early Valentine project. We just took different patterns of pink paper and cut them in to small shapes and then glued them on to the heart. It is a very simple project but the kids loved it, especially working with the glue.

Minnesota Viking Cheerleaders

The Minnesota Viking Cheerleaders came to base and we decided to take the kids to see them. Sean said he likes to support base programs so they don't stop doing them =) They had a lot of fun and were dancing and clapping in their chairs.

Waiting in line to go in

Underwater World

We took the kids downtown to a place called Underwater World. Basically it is a walk-thru aquarium. It is not a very long tunnel but the kids surprised me by taking their time and stopping often to watch the fish.

This is Ashlyn getting ready to leave.

Some Jellyfish

NEMO

And DORY!!!

These seahorses were awesome!!

The girl has NO FEAR she reached right in to "pet" the starfish!

The Birthday Party

The kids had a great birthday party! We went with a football/Little Mermaid theme. It was a fun-filled day!!

Sean thought that Ashlyn should have two candles instead of three because she wasn't quite three yet. I think he may be upset that his baby girl is getting bigger!!!

Aiden opening up his Lakers jersey from Mommy and Daddy

Ashlyn opening up a gift with the help of some friends!

Ashlyn giving out some thank you hugs.

We didn't get any pictures of the kids in the bouncy castle on the day of the party but we did get some of them the next morning. They were so sad when Daddy had to pack it all up and take it back. They sometimes ask if we can "borrow" the bouncy castle again. They really had a blast with it!
