Kids say the darndest things!!!

Today, Sean and Ashlyn ran to the store to pick up a few things. On the way there Sean was asking Ash some questions. He asked her what her favorite color was and other normal questions. Then he asked her who her favorite daddy was and she yelled SEAN!!!!


Tonight's theme for AWANAS was crazy hair. I used some green finger paint and combed it through Aiden's hair. On the way home he told us he was tired, so Sean asked, "Are you ready for bed Buddy?" and then Aiden answered, "No, first I have to take a bath and wash this crazy off my head."

Halloween

The kids had a blast on Halloween! We knew Ashlyn was going to just love it, she had several pieces of candy in her bucket and then asked me if we were going to more houses. When I told her we were she lifted her little hand up and exclaimed, "I don't believe it". She thinks trick or treating is just the greatest thing in this world. We went to one house where they just left a big bowl of candy out and all of the candy was all gone, Ashlyn decided to go up and check the bowl and then was devastated when there was none. She came down the hill heartroken and telling me, "Mommy the candy is all gone". Thank goodness there was an easy fix, I just had to tell her we could try again at the next house! Aiden on the other hand was ready to go home and start eating the candy after about 5 houses. This year Ashlyn was a good witch as she called it and Aiden was Spiderman. Dress up as your favorite bible character

So Aiden is in AWANAS and every week there is a theme. We have done Hawaiian week, sports week, and this week is dress as your favorite bible character. So this is what we have come up with.............

I think we are going to go with option number two. The nice thing is that we only had to buy the rope, the shirts are Sean's work shirts and the thing on his head is made from the shirt sleeve. This whole project made me realize that I really need to work on giving my creativity a boost. I can see things like this coming up in my future a lot!

Pumpkin Carving

We all sat down on Sunday and carved a bunch of pumpkins, it was really fun. Aiden and Ashlyn LOVED it a lot.

Ashlyn was digging in the pumpkin and then she'd pull out some seeds and yell, "I caught one!!"

These are the answers the kiddos gave me today at ages 2 and 3..........I can't wait to track these and see how their answers change. I was actually really surprised at some of the answers, they were exactly what I would have answered for them.

My little cheerleader

Ashlyn worked so hard to learn this cheer. She practiced for a whole day and then finally got it down!

Aiden playing soccer

Aiden started playing soccer and he really loves it a lot. He is great at running with the ball but would rather watch himself run than watch the ball. He has a game every Saturday and practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays. He is playing with the Dededo Soccer Club and his team is called Tano. He is #38.

I have always wanted to do this

When I got pregnant with Aiden I bought a book that I could use to write down all of the cute things that he says. He is almost four and I have never written in that book. Aiden and Ashlyn are so adorable and say the funniest things to me and I just know I will want to look back and remember all of the things they are saying. I also think this is a really great way to keep my family up to date with what is going on with us.
